Dr Prochazka's own technique for secure thread-based facial and neck lifting. "X-Vector" suture threads are placed in the subcutaneous "glide plane" of the face to grip and elevate the skin from underneath. X-Vector configuration features 2-stage tensioning and wide-area tissue loading. Cheeks, jowls and neck are the common placement sites for X-Vectors Procedure is performed entirely through tiny "keyhole" incisions. Any small scars can be hidden behind the ears or hairline Down-time is minimal. Swelling resolves in 3-5 days, mild bruising may take a little longer. Side-effect profile is very favourable compared with surgical facelift

Suitable for Asian patients with "single" upper eyelid fold - found in about 40% of Oriental Asian eyes
A new, higher fold is created surgically, revealing the skin below the fold to create a "double-eyelid" appearance
This can be achieved through an "open incision" or using a "closed-suture" technique
Open technique is superior and longer-lasting but requires incision, leaving a very faint scar
Closed technique requires no incision but results can fade with time, requiring another procedure

Suitable for droopy neck skin resulting in "double chin" and/or "turkey-gobbler deformity"
Through small incisions, excess fat is removed via liposculpture; superficial neck muscle (platysma) is identified and tightened both centrally and laterally
Severe skin excess will require excision, creating a longer scar behind the ears
Results: angle between chin and neck is sharpened; jawline may be better defined; skin is tightened; excess fat is removed
Can be combined with thread lifting to upper face for a more dramatic result
